The Holidays At Rob's Place

Below are pictures sent in by Rob B of Glen Ellyn. Every year, the family tradition involves his brother Rich smoking salmon for the family get together.

Thanks for the pics, Rob. Any details to share (rubs, sauces, smoking wood used etc)? I forgot to ask.

That looks great! I have not tried smoking any fish yet. One day I will adventure down that trail.

Happy smoking to all!!!

What kind of a smoker is that? I like the way that the whole side opens for "futzing".

futzing? Chuck, this is a family website!!

Pronunciation: \ˈfəts\
Function: intransitive verb
Etymology: perhaps part modification, part translation of Yiddish arumfartsn zikh, literally, to fart around

(Sigh) No more posts on the virtues of stuffed chicken breasts...

Sorry, the Puritan in me sometimes jumps to conclusions. Though I could chuckle about you using the term "breasts". I can be that juvenile, yes

The puritan in you would not have liked to be around me during Notre Dame's football season this year. :)

Puritan, sorry

yeah, I had to ask for forgiveness on multiple occasions during FSU's season. Fortunately, I think you and I have the same sense of relief with the new coaching staffs.

Jeff, were you a little weepy-eyed at the end of the game, when the Bobby B. love-fest was in full swing?

i can attest to the fact that there were no tears shed by mr. hale....only loud cheers and the fsu war chant blaring from the garage..it was good to see a happy end to a painful season..and believe me, i was close to every painful fsu moment..
