Colts 38 Saints 24. Brees and the Saints fight heroically, but the supercomputer that is Peyton Manning destroys New Orleans in the fourth quarter.

I have to go against all common sense (West VA vs FSU for a recent example?) and go with the Saints.

Saints 34, Colts 31. In OT.

Nothing extravagant on the grill, the main course is Jambalaya. Smoked salmon, some with a orange/chipolte glaze, the rest with a fish cure of some sort.

Grill-roasted red pepper/sun-dried tomato/chipolte spread as one of the starters.

Wow, Chuck, you're really stepping out! First ever OT game in the Super Bowl! I like it. As long as I hit a square or two in various pools, I'll be all good with any outcome, though I do hope it's competitive throughout. A 42-3 game wouldn't be much fun.

Wow, let me be the first to say, I didn't see that final score coming. If you'd have told me that the Saints D would hold Manning to 17 points I'd have had you committed. Well done, glad for Drew Brees too, great guy.

TIM: Great party... thanks

Geno wins the grand prize! GK, don't worry about sending in your annual membership in 2010!

What's more amazing is that the Colts busted out to a 10-0 lead after one and were promptly outscored 31-7 the rest of the way. Good ballgame. Fun times.

Geno, how'd that sirloin turn out?

With the leftover ham I whipped up a kicky ham salad and took the bone and scraps to Mom, who turned it into a miraculous split pea soup and minestrone.

That's the beauty about smoking a ham, especially of this girth -- leftover possibilities are endless!
