Warmup to the Big Day

Sorry that I've been off of the grid for what seems like a eternity... Finally, some time to do something grill-related!! All I have to do is go get about 80 lbs or so of charcoal  from the HD and I will be set for a good while.

Brined Turkey for Thanksgiving, of course. But today will be a warmup of sorts. Fresh turkey breast, soaking overnight in Cavenders, lemons, and various other spices. Placed on the rotisserie for a 2-hour spin cycle, that should do the trick.

See ya after the Bears game!!

The turkey breast was excellent, it went very well with some asparagus and baked sweet potatoes. One thing I learned with the rotisserie - if you are roasting a large item it helps to fashion some heat shields out of foil to direct the heat to the sides.
